Travelers are often dreamers, and in their dreams theres always a recurring vision of promised lands and far away places.
Places forgotten by time where nature has been left to work her own mystery and magic. These places are fast disappearing
from our globe, but in this magical land there are still wild places, incredible wildlife, majestic mountains and flowing rivers
that take us back to a connection with nature and the earth.

We each have a wild place inside ourselves; it is a place of personal power, of wisdom. This adventure is an opportunity to set
your spirit free, to walk with the wild ones and hear them roar, to find your own voice and reconnect with your own natural
state, to return home feeling your soul has been nourished and that your wild heart is now free forever!

In Africa the truest things need not be sought.... Just stay receptive they'll find you

Gorilla Tracking Permit
Optional Gorilla Trek Safari Uganda

Gorilla Trek Safari Cost: $2,599.00 - $500 deposit to reserve your space
Cost is based on 4 travelers - a maximum of only 6 travelers are allowed on gorilla trek

There are no words for how you feel when you are standing a few feet away from one of the most magnificent, intelligent animals on the planet.
No plexiglass, no cage or bars to separate you from them. Then that moment comes when they look into your eyes and you feel a connection that
is beyond words. Often it's hard to focus with tear's streaming down your face as they hold your gaze, a moment of trust between one being and
another. It seems odd to call them animals as they share up to 97.7% of the human genetic make-up. Uganda will offer you an intense experience of
mountain gorilla tracking as half (about 350) of the 600 mountain gorilla's left in the world live in Bwindi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site. There are 4 gorilla group families who live in different area's of the park that allow humans to be near them. Each day a maximum of 24
people,
6 people in 4 groups, are allowed to track one of the gorilla families. The gorilla's are nomadic and lead a quiet life, sleeping each night in a fresh
nest built from leaves and branches, they thrive on greenery with bamboo, nettles and gallium being some of their favorites. Although they are
incredibly strong and powerful, this quiet existence has labeled them "Africa's Gentle Giants". The gorilla guides who have grown up in the
surrounding villages have an immense knowledge of the gorilla's and they will lead you on a journey into the 'gorilla world', showing you their
favorite hang outs and giving you a peek into their daily life. This time with the gorilla's is a tender, touching joyful encounter, leaving you changed
on a very deep level.

Day One: July 18. Flight from Nairobi to Entebbe, Uganda. Transfer to Kampala, check into your hotel and overnight

Day Two: July 19. L, D Depart by bus for Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. This is an 8 - 9 hour drive. Make a brief stop at the Equator
line for photos. The drive takes you through the grasslands of Ankole, which are famous for their long horned cattle; then through the highlands of
Kigezi with their beautifully terraced hills. After a stop for lunch, continue the journey enjoying more beautiful scenery and arrive Bwindi National
Park in the evening. This park is lush and green and home to half, 350, of the rare mountain gorillas left in the wild. Apart from gorillas, there are a
wide variety of other primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. You will check into your luxury camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Three:  July 20. , L, D     GORILLA TRACKING IN THE BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
In the morning you will have a hearty breakfast and depart to the park headquarters for briefing and around 9:00 am you will set off along the
tracks in the thick forest to go search for the mountain gorilla's. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take several
hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk can be tiresome and somewhat challenging so you should be in good condition. However
meeting these amazing primates and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heart
touching wildlife encounter and one of the best that Africa has to offer! Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to
enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. You are
allowed to remain with the gorilla's for 1 hour. Return to camp exhilarated from your encounter. Dinner and over night

Day Four July 21  B, L  After breakfast, return to Kampala with lunch en route. Make a brief stop over at Mpambire Drum makers or at any other
