| Uganda, the Mountains of the Moon, the Great Rift Valley and Lake Victoria the source of the Nile, romantic features of an incredible landscape that Winston Churchill called, "The Pearl of Africa". Africa’s most extraordinary landscapes are in Uganda, where mystical Central African forests meet the sun-dappled savannas of the Great Rift Valley—and the result is prime safari country with an unmatched biological diversity. Join Journeys of Discovery on an incomparable journey—an amazing and active safari and cultural experience that allows you to explores it all. On Uganda’s dramatic forested volcanoes, we hike in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of the "gentle giants", the mountain gorillas. Uganda is the place where you can have this heart-touching experience of seeing these near-mythical creatures in the wild. We also hike in Kibale Forest, with its bands of wild chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Then enjoy an absolutely breathtaking big-game safari across the golden grasslands of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here the towering Ruwenzori Mountains, called The Mountains of the Moon, make a fine backdrop for our sightings of elephant, lion, leopard, big herds of buffalo, and the largest concentration of hippos in the world.
other wildlife we will also have the opportunity to meet the local villagers and learn about their beliefs, customs, tribal dances and day to day life in Afirca. This will be an amazing journey through Uganda! Click here to review and print Uganda Tour Safari Itinerary and photos |
