During the course of our week with the Monarch's, Janet will be facilitating a "Flight of the Soul" transformational workshop.
When it comes to personal transformation, we could have no better teachers than the Monarch Butterflys! The Monarchs go through 4 distinct stages in
their own personal transformation process. They begin as an egg, hatch as larva or caterpillar, become pupa (chrysalis), and mature into adult butterflies.
Janet will guide us in exploring these 4 stages of the butterfly's life cycle and how these stages mirror our own personal life
experience. In facing life's challenges as the butterfly's example, we can relate to feeling like the lowly, unattractive caterpillar
at points in our own life. Sometimes we give up, it all just seems much too hard. This is where we learn powerful lessons
from the Monarch's as their personal evolution is filled with challenge. But they never lose sight of their goal of transforming
into a spectacular Monarch Butterfly! Perhaps we'll begin this tour feeling more like a caterpillar. But I guarantee by the end
of this magical week with the butterflys and the powerful experience of Janet's workshop, we will have spread our own
Butterfly Wings and learned how to let our............ "SOUL FLY"!

- Janet Conner: Author of Writing Down Your Soul, earned a BS from Marquette University in Speech Pathology and an MA
in Education of the Deaf from Northwestern University. Her first career was in special education. In 1982, she created the
first video journalist recruitment program at CNN. After she and her husband moved to Florida, she ran a division of an
international search firm. In 1997 Janet's life turned upside down with the failure of her marriage and other personal tragedy.
She began an intense process of daily writing in her journal to help heal a broken heart. From this, the process of "deep soul
writing" was born which led to Janet's book, "Writing Down Your Soul": How to Activate and Listen to the Extraordinary
Voice Within. Janet travels nationally speaking and facilitating workshops on Writing Down Your Soul. When she is not

FEB. 18 Sat. - MEXICO CITY-TEOTIHUACAN Welcome drink, Dinner
Arrival into Mexico City airport and connect with the group. Group transfer to Teotihuacan hotel for overnight.
We will have a welcome cocktail and a briefing/overview of our week to come by our guide and get to know Janet and Gayle and our fellow travelers.

FEB. 19 Sun. TEOTIHUACAN B
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting out for the days adventure as we visit the famous pyramids of Teotihuacan.
Teotihuacan, meaning “The place where gods were born” will draw you into its mystery
and natural harmony. Our mystical butterfly adventure begins as we visit the Temple of the
Quetzl-Butterfly God. We will enjoy a late lunch before returning to our hotel. Overnight in
Teotihuacan.
FEB. 20 Mon - TEOTIHUACAN-TEPOTZOTLAN-ZITACUARO B D
After breakfast we will check out of our hotel and enjoy a relaxing drive to the town of Zitacuaro. Along the way we will stop for lunch and have time to
explore the magic town of Tepotzotlan. This evening Janet will facilitate a group session as we begin to explore the stages of personal transformation using
the butterfly's as our guides. Overnight Hotel Conquistador
FEB. 21 Tues - ZITACUARO B L
This morning our guide will give a presentation about the Monarch Butterfly's before we depart for our
first butterfly sanctuary, Sierra Chincua. The soaring pines and oyamel fir trees are breathtaking. Our trek
into the sanctuary is exciting as we spot one butterfly, then five, then twenty until finally at the heart of the
resting area we are in awe as the monarchs flit around us, dancing in the sunlight. When we come down
off the mountain we will enjoy a snack of quesadillas with squash blossoms, served to us by the locals.
We'll check out the downtown square and market and enjoy dinner in town (dinner not included).
Overnight Hotel Conquistador
- FEB 22 Wed – ZITACUARO - VALLE DE BRAVO B L
After a leisurely breakfast we check out of our hotel and begin a 45 min. drive to Macheros, the newest
and least known of all the butterfly sanctuaries. Less crowded and intimate we have the chance to view
the most phenomenal showings as Mother Nature shows us her most awe inspiring spectacle. Butterflys
are everywhere! You may even find them in your snacks! This truly is a never to be forgotten
experience! After lunch, we head for Valle de Bravo for overnight at the Hotel Los Arcos
Opps.....butterfly in your trail mix!
FEB 23 Thurs – VALLE DE BRAVO - MEXICO CITY B L
Today you will have the option of visiting one other small and less visited butterfly sanctuary,
Piedra Herrada (cost not included) for a final encounter with our butterfly friends. Or you may
choose to sleep in and spend the morning exploring more of Valle de Bravo. The main plaza and
Casa de Artesanias are two favorite locations or pamper yourself as Valle is well known for the
quality of its spas. We'll enjoy lunch before we depart for Mexico City.
Afternoon departure to Mexico City and check into our hotel.
FEB. 24 Friday- Depart Mexico City airport for home. Welcome Home from a magical week with the Monarch
Butterflys as they have guided us on our own journey of personal transformation. You bring home with you a heart full
of butterfly magic and amazing new friends that you have connected with as you've shared this never to be forgotten
adventure. Always remember to keep spreading your Wings and Let Your Soul Fly!

This trip requires that you are in good health and reasonably physically fit. The butterfly
sanctuaries are at higher elevations and we ride horses part way up to the colonies ending
with a moderate hike. This in itself is part of the adventure and well worth the final result!
