Quiche region meet to trade. Vendors sell handicrafts, food, flowers, pottery, woodcarvings, textiles, medicinal plants, candles, pom and copal
(traditional incense), vegetables, and farming tools.
Next to the market is the 400-year old church of Santo Tomas. It is built atop a Pre-Columbian
temple platform, and the steps, which originally led to a temple of the pre-Hispanic Maya civilization,
still remain sacred to the locals. K'iche' Maya priests still use the church steps for their rituals, burning
incense and candles. After exploring the market, a Shaman will perform a ceremony on a nearby hill

single glyphic text found at any Maya site. Stories of UFO
sightings abound throughout the surrounding villages.

This afternoon we’ll also visit the ancient site of Las Sepulturas, located about 3 miles away. This smaller complex, peaceful and in lovely
surroundings, is connected to Copan by a “sacbe” or elevated causeway now closed to visitors. Las Sepulturas does not hold much interest for

Early departure as we board our bus and travel on a scenic drive from Honduras into Guatemala. Along the way we will stop and visit Quirigua,

were created to mark important cosmic events. Each spectacular sculpture is that of a Star Elder Being and is adorned with symbolic information
encircled by gods and sacred animals. The sides and backs are etched with Maya calendar glyphs giving dates to significant events.

Quirigua has mesmerized countless travelers. British author, Aldous Huxley, noted that Quirigua's stela commemorate ". . . human triumph over
time and matter and the triumph of time and matter over man." Quirigua is an excellent place to experience a group past life regression.

Discover a lost world once inhabited by the ancient Maya more than two thousand years ago, a world that has slumbered
remarkably intact under a mantle of thick vegetation for nine centuries. Many call Tikal one of the most spiritually powerful
spots on Earth as it possesses a certain quality of magic that fascinates and enchants. Tikal’s towering pyramids loom out of
the misty jungle canopy like living sentinels of ancient times. This monumental site includes more than 3,000 structures
extending over six square miles and includes palaces, temples, ceremonial platforms, ball courts, terraces, plazas, avenues
    and steam baths.

It is a jungle paradise. Our guide will take us to the major temple sites
and then you will have some time to explore on your own. Keep an eye
out for monkeys, macaws and the cute coatimundi roaming around.
